Cooking Tips
When used properly, the GT Xpress cooks a variety of healthy meals quickly and without the mess. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when using your new GT Xpress indoor electric grill:
Clean When Warm (but not hot)
While you do not want to try to clean the unit while it is still hot, the GT Xpress is extremely easy to clean when slightly warm. All you need is a damp sponge! For those extra-messy meals, try warm, soapy water. You shouldn't have to scrub hard if used properly.
No Metal Cooking Tools
The GT Xpress has anti-stick coating that can be scratched off by metal spatulas and forks. Use a plastic spatula when removing your hot, fresh meal from the grill. For your convenience, each order comes with a plastic spatula specially designed for use with the GT Xpress grill.
Pay Attention to the Ready Light
It is easy to cook with the GT Xpress because a light will come on to indicate when the meal is finished cooking. If you walk away from the grill, be sure to check back often to see if the light is on. Cooking a meal longer than needed may make it more difficult to clean the grill.
Experiment and Share Recipes
There are many places online, including right here at www.gtxpress.com, where you can get access to great recipes or even share your own. If you have something truly delicious and unique, name it after yourself and submit it to the online GT Xpress recipe groups. Who knows, we may even feature it in our next recipe book.
Never Clean While Plugged In
The GT Xpress is an indoor electric grill. Like all electric appliances, it is dangerous to have it around water. Always unplug the unit before cleaning, and keep it away from dangerous areas like the sink while cooking.
